ERICA LEDESMA - HIP HOP, TAP, BALLET, PRE-POINTE
Erica Ledesma, co-owner of Ave Maria Dance Academy began dancing at the age of two and has rarely been out of dance shoes since!  She was propelled forward in her ballet training when she joined Elite Dance Academy in West Palm Beach and began training under Iavor Doytchinov a Bulgarian born danseur and core company member of the famous Ballet Florida. In October of 2008 she began teaching dance classes to the children here in town and Ave Maria Dance Academy was born! She loves learning, teaching and choreographing and is feeling "very blessed" as she begins her fourth season of doing all three!
LIZ SUAREZ - MODERN
Elizabeth Suarez, an Ave Maria resident holds a Florida K-12 Certificate of Dance Education. She has taught Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Choreography at S. Middle School in Lima, Ohio and has performed in demonstrations in Ohio as a member of the University of Akron’s Touring  Ensemble. She was privileged to teach Graham Technique at the Northeast Ohio School of Dance and has taught at the A+ rated Edison Park Creative Arts Magnet in Ft. Myers, where she  choreographed and staged multiple student dance productions. Liz is currently in her third season with us!
REBECCA  PAVLOCK - COMBO CLASS, JAZZ, LYRICAL,TECHNIQUE & CONDITIONING, DANCE COMPANY
Becky Pavlock grew up training in ballet, tap and jazz in Rochester, NY.  She left  Rochester after high school to go to Kent
State University in Ohio,  where she continued her training and was a captain on the Kent State Dance Team.  Since then she has taught for AmeriDance, Universal Dance Association, and various dance studios in the Cleveland area. She has also choreographed several youth theater performances. Becky recently got married and relocated to Florida. This is her eleventh year teaching dance and
her second season with us!
KATE BUXTON - CREATIVE MOVEMENT, WEE DANCE
Kate Buxton is from Stonington Connecticut, and is entering her second year as a student at Ave Maria University. She has been dancing for 17 years, and has trained in Pointe, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Theatre. Kate has received extensive ballet instruction and was a member of the Mystic Ballet Company for several years where she was taught by American Ballet Theatre and Alvin Ailey principal dancers. She loves sharing her love of dance with her students.
