GENERAL POLICY

Students must respect instructors and not be disruptive in class. Parents wishing to speak with an instructor should not do so between classes but instead call the office and make an appointment. 239-261-2606

Please help maintain a clean school,  other than water food and drinks are not permitted inside the building,

As a convenience to our parents, we either stock or can easily order all dance supplies needed for our classes.  For the sake of uniformity all dance shoes must be purchased through the studio.

Please label your child's belongings (especially their shoes) with their name or initials.

Dance bags are recommended as they keep belongings together. Dance shoes are only to be worn indoors (in order to keep them clean and in good shape) and must never be worn on the street.

Items found in the studio are placed in the lost and found.  At the end of the season items are donated to the Goodwill.  We are not responsible for items left at the studio.

Please be on time picking up your child and instruct your
child to be seated in the waiting room if ever you are late.

Cell phones may be not be used inside  the studio or in the reception area. Students are to turn their cell phone ringers off during all class times. Adults waiting for dancers are asked to go outside to talk on cell phones.

Parents and siblings waiting in the reception area should do their best to remain quiet; if this is not possible, please wait outside or come back to pick up your child when class is through.

Classes that are too full may be split;
classes that are too small may be closed.

Hour long group classes that have low attendance (any given week)  will be shortened to 45 minutes.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Regular attendance is essential for progression in dancing. We ask that illness be the only reason for missed class. Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. Tardiness and excessive absences will not be tolerated.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to class. It can be harmful to a dancer's body if they are not warmed up properly. If a student is chronically late, they will be asked to sit out of the class and the parent will be contacted.

If your child is to be absent please call the studio to let us know; the studio phone number is 239-261-2606 please save it to your cell phone to keep it handy.

To be fair to all students, class time will not be used to review material missed.  Make up classes are generally not available and all students are responsible for learning the choreography so please make class attendance a priority.

Students that miss (even one class) become lost and often emotionally affected and over-whelmed while trying to catch up. They become overloaded while learning last week’s steps and the current ones.

If a dancer misses more than 5 classes after January 1st they will not be permitted to participate in the year-end dance recital.

We accept no responsibility for your child once their class is let out of class.  It is important that you deliver and pick up students on time, this is especially important for children aged 6 and under.

Unattended siblings are never allowed at the studio.
Please do not drop them off if they are not dancing. There will not always be someone in the front office and we cannot be responsible for non-dancing children.

If you wish to withdraw your dancer you MUST notify us by email: avemariadance@comcast.net. Phone messages will not be accepted. There will be no reimbursement for payments processed prior to written notice.
Thank you for your cooperation in these matters.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"My children have been attending classes at Ave Maria Dance Academy three times a week since October 2013. We were considering several dance studios at that time and I'm so glad we chose this one! My children could not be happier. It is a very kid friendly environment with professional, talented and very dedicated staff. The last year spring recital was heads and shoulders above the rest in Naples area. We look forward to the next one!"  ~Ines P.
